SuperSeries

Super Series is a new European Bowling tour that started 2003, with it´s first competition in Aalborg, Denmark. The new tournament has 6 tour stops and a grande finale in Jönköping, Sweden, during easter 2004. The prize money will be the highest ever in Sweden. Swedish Television, SVT, NRK, Norwegian Television and Viasat Denmark is broadcasting the finals from each tour stops live. The Grande Finale in Jönköping will be broadcasted live on Swedish National channel and can be wied all over the country. Today the tour stops are in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, but in a very short time, probably the season 2004/2005, the tour will expand to the rest of the European bowling countries. Those countries will probably be Germany, England, Spain, France and Italy.

Spare artists win balls for Strikes, in Helsingborg.

It’s not a nice feeling to leave the lanes after a performance with nearly no open frames and still miles from the cut. And to be on the wrong side of the cut means that you don’t earn any prize money to be spent in the pro shops.

The organiser for the SuperSeries tournament, knows how to deal with that problem.

- I give away two excellent balls for Strikes from Legends. The winner is the player in 1600 squad on Wednesday an in the 0800 squad on Friday who havethe highest amount of frames with a spare. I know the frustration when there are three spares on every strike so I will do something for some of the players, says Patrick Backe from Olympia Tournament.

- I have received the balls from Legends and Bill Hoffman has promised that he will give some special treatment to the two players with a striking problem.
