SuperSeries

Super Series is a new European Bowling tour that started 2003, with it´s first competition in Aalborg, Denmark. The new tournament has 6 tour stops and a grande finale in Jönköping, Sweden, during easter 2004. The prize money will be the highest ever in Sweden. Swedish Television, SVT, NRK, Norwegian Television and Viasat Denmark is broadcasting the finals from each tour stops live. The Grande Finale in Jönköping will be broadcasted live on Swedish National channel and can be wied all over the country. Today the tour stops are in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, but in a very short time, probably the season 2004/2005, the tour will expand to the rest of the European bowling countries. Those countries will probably be Germany, England, Spain, France and Italy.

Rules for the final in Kungsbacka International

2005-12-18

Final step 1
Players positioned 9-48 will play 6 games starting from scratch
Top 24 will continue to the final step 2, seeded 9-32
Players outside the cut will be ranked 33-48 according to their results in the final step 1

Seeding for the final step 2-6
Players will keep their seeding 1-32 (1-8 from the qualification and 9-32 from the final step 1) in the final step 2-6. In each match in the following steps the highest seeded player will meet the lowest seeded player and the second highest player will meet the second lowest seeded players etc.

Final step 2
32 players will play 16 matches, best of 5 games
The 16 winners of the matches will continue to the final step 3
The 16 losers of the matches will be ranked 17-32 according to their seeding after the final step 1

Final step 3
16 players will play 8 matches, best of 5 games
The 8 winners of the matches will continue to the final step 4
The 8 losers of the matches will be ranked 9-16 according to their seeding after the final step 1

Final step 4
8 players will play 4 matches, best of 5 games
The 4 winners of the matches will continue to the final step 5
The 4 losers of the matches will be ranked 5-8 according to their seeding after the final step 1

Final step 5
4 players will play 2 one game matches
The 2 winners of the matches will continue to the final step 6
The 2 losers of the matches will be ranked 3-4 according to their seeding after the final step 1

Final step 6
2 players will play a one game match
The winner of the match will be ranked 1
The loser of the match will be ranked 2
