SuperSeries

Super Series is a new European Bowling tour that started 2003, with it´s first competition in Aalborg, Denmark. The new tournament has 6 tour stops and a grande finale in Jönköping, Sweden, during easter 2004. The prize money will be the highest ever in Sweden. Swedish Television, SVT, NRK, Norwegian Television and Viasat Denmark is broadcasting the finals from each tour stops live. The Grande Finale in Jönköping will be broadcasted live on Swedish National channel and can be wied all over the country. Today the tour stops are in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, but in a very short time, probably the season 2004/2005, the tour will expand to the rest of the European bowling countries. Those countries will probably be Germany, England, Spain, France and Italy.

Tore outstanding on his own playground

The Norwegian PBA-pro Tore Torgersen made it very clear in the ongoing qualification in Norwegian Open. He’s hot ! After a moderate start with 448/2 he finished his first attempt on the lanes in Moss with 1060/4 and a total of 1508.

- Usually the 10 pin is no friend of mine here in Moss but this time it felled as I wanted to. I started between the 2nd and 3rd arrow and move to the left as the oil pattern changed its shape. I will do another show-up in a qualification squad just to see if it would be the same kind of lanes and behaviour of the pattern, said Tore after his Showtime with a 250 average.

The score in Norwegian is rather low thus far due to the shape of the oil pattern. There are some problems to be solved before the high scores will arrive. Or Aviram from Israel was far from a descent standard on Wedensday but there was a reason for that. Most of his equipment was in the SuperSeries truck 200 km away from the lanes.

When the balls finally arrived he proved that they where needed. He scored 1458 and is the runner up for the moment.

In the Bowling Centre there is a prestige battle going on. A battle of guessinng.
What will be the cut for the final?
Some say 1340 and some say 1295.
